Jude T Eberhardt

Jude Thaddeus Eberhardt age 82 passed away peacefully March 26, 2021 surrounded by his family.  He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and the University of Akron (Lone Star Fraternity).  Jude retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 35 years of service.  He was an active member at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister, involved with the Knights of Columbus, and attended a men’s prayer group.  Jude was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and loyal friend whose kindness often extended to those less fortunate.  His gentle spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him.  Jude is survived by his beloved wife Elaine (58 years); daughters Michelle (Chris) Hertenstein, Kim Eberhardt, Jennifer (Brian) Hartung, and son Greg (Christi) Eberhardt; brother Mark (Ann) Eberhardt, brother-in-law Bill Merriman as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.  He was the grandfather to Clay (Vanessa), Jake, Megan, Sam, Sarah, Ben, Ashley, Emily, and great grandson Calvin.  Jude was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Eberhardt, brother and sister-in-law John  and Rosemary Eberhardt, and sister Jean Merriman.  There will be a private funeral mass for immediate family as well as a Celebration of Life in the future.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Jude’s memory to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church (2603 Benton Ave. Akron, Ohio 44312) or Greater East Ohio Area Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
