Joseph Anthony Mazzagatti, 89, passed into Heaven peacefully on December 31, 2022. (He always said New Year’s Eve was for amateurs). An unbelievable dad to daughter, Michelle (Todd) Mazzagatti-Mellon and son, Greg (Connie) Mazzagatti, step-children, John (Laura) Wilson, and Kim Wilson. Best grandpa ever to Spencer and fiancée Tara, Owen, Graham, Garrett, Rennick, Anthony, Mariano, Krista, Emma, John Robert (Stephanie). He was also Grandpa Joe to Karen, Deb, Maybree and Brynlee.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mariano and Anna (nee Ranier) Mazzagatti and wife of thirty-one years, Pat, where they were members of St. Mathew Catholic Church in Ellet. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five years, Nancy, where they are members of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
Joe loved to golf, coach his son’s football team, his occasional trips to Northfield Park Racetrack, cigars and a good Master Drink! He loved wintering with Nancy down at their Florida home for many years, but most of all his life was fulfilled spending time with his grandkids and family in their various sports and activities. He attended St. Mary High School where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. He continued his education at the University of Akron where he was a running back for the Zips football team. He retired as an executive at Norman Malone Advertising with over twenty-five years of service. Dad, you will be missed by so so many, but forgotten by none! We love you!
