James Russell Young

James R. Young, A proud Veteran of the United States Army passed away 5 Feb 23. The son of Max & Bessie. He was born in Barberton Ohio on 6 Jul 44. At the age of 22, on 2 Sept 66, James enlisted in the army. He valued this service highly. And obtained the rank of sergeant (E-5). As part of this service he was a radio man in Vietnam serving two tours. He was proud to be a member of the Big Red 1 and had never forgotten the brothers lost (POW/MIA) in action. He left the Army 27 Jul 68 But the Army never left him! He is Survived by Brothers Franky (Lynda), Robert (Vickie), Son, Michael (Denise) with their children Haleigh (Casey) and Sophia. Daughter, Sineta (Bobby) with their children Amanda & Cody. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at House of Eberhardt Funeral Home, 472 W Turkeyfoot Lk Rd. (Rt. 619) Portage Lakes. Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m.  Interment to immediately follow at Ohio Veterans’ Memorial Park, Clinton, Ohio.
