Franklin R Ganoe

Franklin Roy Ganoe passed away on February 15, 2020 at the age of 87 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Barberton, Ohio.

Franklin was born April 11, 1932 in Kerrmoor, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania and resided in both Gipsy and Cherry Tree, Indiana County, Pennsylvania before moving to Akron, Ohio in 1960. 

Franklin is survived by his wife of sixty years Sara J. Ganoe, son Barry L. Ganoe and daughter-in-law Sharon A. Ganoe.  He is also survived by his favorite “granddogs” Abby and Ginger.

Franklin served in the United States Air Force in Korea and was a retiree of the United States Postal Service and Apple Supermarkets.  He was a longtime member of the American Legion, the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 148 and United Food and Commercial Workers Local 880.  He was also a past member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Cremation has taken place with future inurnment at East Liberty Cemetery in Green, Ohio.
