Debra E Lester Obituary

Debra E. Lester has passed at 65 + years on September 17, 2022 after a hard fought 6-month battle with cancer. Debbie was born in Barberton Ohio on November 13, 1956. She’s preceded in death by parents Alfred and Elva Kelley of Barberton; in- laws Richard and Donna Lester of Akron. Survived by her husband of 46 years 10 months and 7 days Thomas P. Lester and son Adam T. Lester of New Franklin, Portage lakes area; brother Dennis Kelley and his son Jason of Barberton; brother in-law Richard and Rosemary Lester of Portage Lakes and their 3 children; aunts Jo, Betty, and uncle Dan, and several cousins in West Virginia.

She was able to raise our son and when his special needs school closed. She was determined for him to get his GED, so she home schooled him through High School, and he received his diploma, I was so proud.

Everyone that had met her loved her for kindness, she was my angel. You know writing this really sucks because she is an angel now, and I can no longer talk with her anymore. She was my lady, best friend, and lover. In the last few days when she was still with us, I had texted her and said these words; Honey, I love you, I love you, I love U, and I will miss you. Love u Tom, your friend, and lover forever, Tom. I am with you on your decision, no one likes it but you can only take so much pain. I’ve had a great time and hope to see you again someday wherever it may be. Thank you for being you, love Tom. You made me a better man, I thank you for the last 48 years, love Tom. No more pain, love you, it will never be the same. I had to read this to her at the time because she couldn’t use her phone, so hard, so hard!

She believed in God, and she was well read. She did have dislikes that withstood any type of hatred, and gossip was a waste of time. She also said 60 seconds of being angry is a loss of 60 seconds of happiness, I love you lady, Tom.

Special thanks to the staff at Barberton Hospital’s hospice unit!

As per her wishes, there will be no services, and cremation has taken place.
