Barbara L Hopkins

Barbara L Hopkins, 90, passed away June 2, 2022.  She was born in Akron and had worked for the Manchester School District as a secretary. She was known for her good cooking, her love of flowers and enjoyed crocheting.  She had a special love for her dog, Buddy.

Barbara is preceded in death by husband, John, daughter, Sherrie Lyn and brother, David Paul Hopkins.  She is survived by loving daughter Sue Rutledge, sister, Gail E Mercer, granddaughter, Melissa and great grandson, Ryan.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 12 p.m. at House of Eberhardt Funeral Home, 472 W Turkeyfoot lake Rd. (Rt 619) Portage Lakes.  Pastor Brenda Young officiating. Private interment will follow at Manchester Cemetery.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Even though Barbara loved flowers, the family requests memorial donations, if so desired, be made to her special charity; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
