Rosemarie H. Sarac (Waite) nee Hoffman, 89, passed away December 7, 2017. She was born in Akron, Ohio to John and Millie (nee Cermak) Hoffman. She was a longstanding parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Rosemarie graduated from Greensburg High School, class of 1946, and married William W. Waite in 1949. She worked as a secretary for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and then as a buyer’s assistant at Clarkins, and later in her working career was self-employed, renovating and redecorating many Akron area houses. She was a great hardworking mother who took wonderful care of her family and was very proud of her children. She was an excellent cook and loved to sew and work on her crossword and jigsaw puzzles, enjoyed travelling with her family on many vacations and road trips and was passionate about tending to her beautiful flowers and feeding the wild birds in her yard. Mom was a longtime supporter of St. Labre and St Joseph Indian Schools.
She is preceded in death by first husband, William W. Waite who passed in 1997, sister, Jacqueline Martin and great grandson Graham Van Den Berg.
She is survived by husband, George and his daughter Debbie and granddaughter, McKenna, brother, John Hoffman, children, Rosemarie (John) Conti, Michael (Mary) Waite, Stephanie (Scott) Van Den Berg, Andrea (Rob) Sigworth, grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca and Stephen Waite, Joseph, Jessica Van Den Berg, Laura, Elizabeth Sigworth and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 11 at 10:30 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends will be received Sunday, December 10 from 2 to 5 pm at House of Eberhardt Funeral Home, 472 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Rt. 619) Portage Lakes.
