I have been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Ohio since 1989 after receiving my degree in Mortuary Arts and Sciences from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. My Funeral Director and Embalming career began in 1989 as an employee with Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home in Akron, Ohio. My ten plus years at Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz (now Anthony Family Funeral Homes) was a great learning experience that has turned into a solid foundation for my career that I still rely on today. Mr. Steve Kertesz was my master embalmer who, from decades of experience, taught me embalming techniques that are practical and produce better results than some of the practices taught in mortuary college.

My wife, Jeannette, and I were both born and raised here in New Franklin and are graduates of Manchester High School class of 1982. We conducted our first funeral from this location in November of 2009.
